Silence makes the heart grow fonder (2)

I can’t hear a sound she makes as she sits at my feet and plays. It’s not a bad thing not being able to hear my daughters laughter. It means I get to study her face more closely, notice the dimples as the begin to develop in her pudgy cheeks. I get to justify the hours I spend endlessly watching her expressions change, learning all of them in intimate detail.
