Prompt 14 – Devils advocate.

My husband is a great one for playing devil’s advocate. He revels in a good discussion topic just for the joy of the discussion itself and not because he feels passionately about either side of the issue necessarily. These discussions can be very provocative and can lead to some interesting moments of tension.

Creating tension and conflict is what a good novel is all about. This can be internalised conflict or external (from the natural environment or other people). There are many ways to achieve this, but today we’ll work on dialogue.

So today’s prompt is:

“Argue both sides of a hot topic.”
