Complicate the main plot

Never let your story get boring, mix things up a bit, complicate the main plot and your protagonists life.

Remember those goals and secrets we did? And then the subplot’s we created?

Grab out some of those secrets and goals from your antagonist or your supporting characters and find ways that they could complicate the main story line, divert your protagonist from their goal, reveal their dark secrets, cause conflict. Hang out that dirty washing and dig up the dirt and let it all fly.

Tracey Ambrose
"Don't be too timid and squeamish about your actions. All life is an experiment." Ralph Waldo Emerson
