I want to write lines like these:

“As I left the Kenya Beanstalk capsule he was right on my heels. He followed me through the door leading to Customs, Health, and Immigration. As the door contracted behind him I killed him.”
Friday, Heinlein.

“It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife”.
Pride & Prejudice, Jane Austin

“Far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the Western Spiral arm of the Galaxy lies a small unregarded yellow sun. Orbiting this at a distance of roughly ninety-eight million miles is an utterly insignificant little blue-green planet whose ape-descended life forms are so amazingly primitive that they still think digital watches are a pretty neat idea.”
Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Douglas Adams.

“All children, except one, grow up.”
Peter Pan, J. M. Barrie

“In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit.”
The Hobbit, JRR Tolkien.
